KATE AND I HAVE FOUND A GREAT USED BOOKSTORE IN SPANISH FORK. I LOVE THE SMELL, THE LOOK, THE EVERYTHING ABOUT USED AND NEW BOOKSTORES!

WE WENT GARAGE SALING TWO SATURDAYS AGO. WE WANTED TO GO AGAIN THIS WEEKEND BUT IT RAINED ALL WEEKEND! NEXT WEEK FOR SURE!

I LOVE MY NEW ORANGE VINTAGE CHAIR THAT I GOT AT A GARGE SALE FOR $5.OO! THATS IT, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! (I ALSO GOT A TV STAND FOR $15, A PRACTICALLY NEW SCANNER/PRINTER FOR $10, A NEW QUEEN BEDSPREAD AND SHEETS FOR $10, A SHELF FOR $2, A FLOOR LAMP FOR $3 AND A RUG FOR $5!)

I HAD FORGOTTEN HOW AMAZING DOLLAR TREE IS. I LOVE SHOPPING THERE. ITS INCREDIBLE THE THINGS YOU CAN FIND THERE.

AND I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A RANDOM LOVE OF $10 BILLS. I DONT KNOW WHY! BUT, I RECEIVED TWO OF THEM THIS WEEKEND WHEN I GOT CASH BACK AND I GOT SO EXCITED!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST...MY ADORABLE HUSBAND HAS BEEN BRINGING ME HOME NEW NECKLACES THE LAST FEW DAYS! HE WINS THEM OUT OF ONE OF THOSE GRAB MACHINES...THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL AND YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW...THESE PICS GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE! I LOVE IT!

Snow in April=Not Happy!

Last week we had a random snow storm! Not just a mini storm, but about 7 inches! It looked absolutely beautiful...I just hate that I was sooo not prepared. I definately wore the wrong shoes that day! I was soo freezing!

That morning I was standing outside waiting for Katie and Shawn to pick me up for work. I was just minding my own business taking these few pictures, and then I apparently wandered under a light post that had melting snow! All of a sudden I was one of those people I always laugh at when snow banks them on the head. Now I can laugh about it, but of course at the time I did not think it was funny haha.

This is a ton of snow! and it had already started to melt! Incredible for April!

By the end of the day it was all gone. Its crazy how quickly we get covered in snow and how fast it melts too!

Silly Husband...

So while we were at book club last week, Kate's dear husband Shawn and Jason decided to hang out. Well while Kate, Marie and Myself were enjoying the goodness of Yozone I received a text of the picture shown below...

I had a little heart attack and kinda wanted to cry. Marie and Kate laughed. I should have laughed, but I was so sad that he cut his hair. I LOVE his curls and how long it had gotten!

So yes even though, now, I see the hilarity in it...I was so devistated at the time! Mostly I was just glad that he had to shave the rest off becuase his work wont allow mohawks! So, when I got home he had put gel in it. It looked a lot better than it did before, but still not a fan.

Then yesterday while the boys were hanging out, Shawn sent me this photo, and I laughed so hard! I absolutely love my walrus!!!

Book Club...

Since moving to Utah I have been in a book club with Katie Marie and sometimes Vee. We are on our third book!

The first book we read was The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It was incredible. I really recommend it. It is based during the holocaust and written in the point of view of a 9-year old boy. There is a movie based on the book, but as usual, it doesn't even compare!

The second book we read was The Pact. Which was also amazing. It had romance, suspense, a little comedy. Completely kept us on the edge of our seats! It is about a young teenage couple that supposedly made suicide pact...but then it went all wrong! The author is Jodi Picoult and she has multiple books...all different from one another...I am sure we will add more of her novels to our list of books to read!
The book we are currently reading is called The Thirteenth Tale. It is really good so far. I can't tell you much being that I have only read 38 pages so far...but I can say that the writing is incredible. I find myself covered in chills multiple times while reading. We try to underline things in the books we read to discuss at book club. I have not been able to underline anything because truthfully I want to underline EVERYTHING. The words the author uses are beautiful; descriptions in such a way that you feel you are present. I will update my blog on how the book is as I read...

Reading is something that I have truly fell in love with over the past year and half. I loved reading when I was younger...but for some reason I had completely forgotten how amazing reading can be. To get lost in the fantasy. In between the book club...once I've reached the assigned page for the week...I have read a couple other books. One of which was about Vampires and was just for fun.

The other was called Breathe My Name. It was an amazing book. It completely takes you on an unexpected journey through the life of a girl who has experienced real tragedy. The book goes back and forth between her life as a child and the present. It is a rollercoaster and written very well...I absolutely loved it and recommend it!

I could go on for pages and pages about books! I would love to hear recommendations from anyone! I tend to gravitate towards the "teen section" but I love tryin new things, which is why this book club is good for me:)

So please let me know what you are currently reading or what you have read in the past because I would love to add it to my list!

We'll be comin around the mountain...

A lot has changed since my last blog back in NOVEMBER! I can't believe its almost April already! So much to catch up on!

Well last I had written it was Thanksgiving. Jason was working at a boys home for troubled teens and I was desperately looking for a job! Well... the boys home was making cut backs and in January, after the holidays that Jay had to miss, he got layed off. So we had to make a quick decision. I felt scared and sad becuase we were back to sqaure one...so I gave Katie a call to see if her work was hiring, in UTAH! And sure enough they were. So we made a plan to go to Utah for a quick weekend trip so I could interview and look at apartments. Well within three days I had a job and we had an apartment. So we went back home packed everything up and moved out that very next weekend! We got everything in on Saturday and I started work on Monday.

I am working at an Internet Web Hosting company called E-Harbor. I am an Administrative Assistant and I really love my job. Jason got a job at Walmart about a month after we lived here. He is working in the electronics department and absolutely loves it. He gets to help customers everyday and he really loves meeting new people. Life is absolutley amazing right now. We were so scared to make this move but it has been the best decision we have made in a long time. We are completely Independent and it feels incredible.

We really miss our friends and family in california...along with the beach! But we had a pleasant change a few weeks ago when our niece Lauren moved up here to Utah. She is staying with us until the beginning of May. Her bestfriend moved up here a while ago and once Lauren came to visit her she was sold on moving here! So it has been soo amazing having at least one member of our family here! I am so glad that she gets to stay with us, even though its just for a little while:)

Today is actually Thanksgiving day. I am so thankful for soo many things...but I have decided instead of making a huge list I would just talk about the one thing I am most grateful for...JASON!

Jay really is my everything. We met almost 2 1/2 years ago...and he has made me laugh everyday since:) His laugh made me fall in love with him....along with his smile, spirituality, eyes, thoughtfullness, and his innocence. He fell for me so fast I didn't see it coming. I had never been treated the way he treated me. I didn't know how to be in a relationship with someone so amazing. I am so grateful he loved me in spite of ALL my flaws...he has changed my life for the better...and this past year (and almost a half) of marriage has been amazing!

3. Who said I love you first? Jason...he knew I wasn't ready to say it though...didn't take me too long to respond....

12. Who is more stubborn? Jason, and when he isn't being stubborn he can admit it! lol

13. Who is the first to admit they're wrong? I think we are pretty equal...if we are having a disagreement we sit there a few minutes in silence and then both of us will realize how dumb it was and get over it!

14. Who has more siblings? I do...I have two bros and a sister and he only has two bros...so pretty close though!

15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? It depends on the situation, mostly him though:)

16. What do you like to do together? go to movies, out to eat, disneyland, we really like trying hole in the wall restraunts in small towns, watch sunsets (sounds cheesy, but its true lol), spending time with friends and family, and before we got married we loved to go dancing, it is how we met;)

17. Who eats more sweets? hmmm equal I guess?

18. Guilty pleasures? his are video games, music, food...except i dont think he feels guilty for any of it! lol

19. How did you meet? At a singles dance in Del Mar. One of my friends knew one of his friends...so both our groups ended up hanging out together...he came to denny's with us after, and i thought he was super cute...we all talked about how we had Ldslinkup profiles so we exchanged info.

20. Who asked who out first? Jason asked me, except I wasn't sure that he was asking me out...haha we had been emailing back and forth on Linkup and he asked if i wanted to go to a Jimmy Eat World concert at the Del Mar Racetrack. The way it was worded threw me off so i wasn't sure if it was a group thing or not...so after a few confused emails we figured it out and that was that!

21. Who kissed who first? Aww funny story. Jason had never kissed a girl before! actually I was his first date in general! So after a couple or a few dates I decided it was time...but he said he wanted his first kiss to be with a girlfriend...not just someone he is dating...so once we got it all official i went in for it! haha he was a total natural!:)

22. Who proposed? Jason did...on super bowl sunday! It was at a park we always went to and a COMPLETE shock! He used some trickery to throw me off completely...if you want the full story you can ask!

23. His best features? his smile and his eyes....

24. What is his greatest quality? His strength...in everything! Spiritually, emotionally...he is loyal and hysterical...he is my everything:)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We had a PRE- Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house on Sunday the 23rd. My parents went to Nashville, TN to visit my sister and her family for Thanksgiving. It was a plan a long time ago cause my neice was supposed to be born this week! So they are there meeting Eliza Jane!
Jason had to work so of course he isn't in any of the pre-thanksgiving pics:( makes me sad...i know he loves his job...but I'm starting to hate it!

That night we also went around and said all the things we are grateful for. It was an emotional night full of love. I was surprised by a lot of the answers from the younger kids and my other family members:) I couldn't ask for a more amazing family. We are nothing like any other family...and I love that about us:)
